What is Caribbean Stud Poker

By Norman

Caribbean stud poker at an online casino is gaining more respect as time goes on than the game previously enjoyed. There are many poker players who do not consider Caribbean Stud Poker to be a real poker game.

The reasoning behind this is because there is no bluffing or any other type of deception allowed. Because the game is very similar to any other five card stud poker game at an online casino, it is still called a poker game no matter what its critics might say.

The game starts out by players placing their bets on the layout. Once all players have anted up the dealing will call “no more bets.” The dealer will then deal to each player and himself five cards, face down.

The dealer will then turnover one of his cards and push the cards toward the players. At that point the players will look at their cards. The players are not allowed to discuss the game in progress nor are they allowed to attempt to bluff any other player.

The next choice after looking at their cards in this online casino game is simple; they will either play or fold. If they fold they will lose their initial ante but if they play they will have to bet double their ante in order to continue play.

Once all of the players have made their decisions the dealer will reveal his hole cards, it is important to note that the dealer only plays with an Ace or King or higher, and then each player will reveal their hands. Whoever has the highest hand at the end wins the pot.

The online casino game of Caribbean Stud Poker is quick and rather exciting, especially for those who want to play poker but may not like all the bluffing or drama that goes along with poker.
